Teachers participating
in the program will receive a $50/day stipend and room and board while
at JMU. There is also a travel allowance. Participants will
take home a variety of curriculum and techniques to use visualization in
their classes and share with others.
VISM participants
will be required to give two short workshops in their home districts/regions
in each of the two school years following their participation. Project
staff and participants will develop curricula and materials for these workshops
as a part of the summer program.
These workshops
will be a great way to learn more about data visualization, meet some great
new colleagues and enjoy the scenic Shenandoah Valley. |
