Reseach interests:
In the lab, I study how viruses infect cells. I am particularly interested in how viruses spread from cell to cell and across the blood brain barrier. The viruses I have studied include HIV, SARS, and reoviruses. I also study bioethics, especially pertaining to the use and development of vaccines.
Personal interests:
Backpacking, fishing, reading historical fiction, watching NASCAR and spending time with our dogs.
