  • Postdoctoral Scholar in Molecular Genetics in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of California, San Francisco
  • Research Scientist at Advanced Genetic Sciences, Inc. (Oakland, CA) working on the expression and purification of recombinant proteins in bacteria
  • Senior Research Scientist at DNA Plant Technology Corporation (Oakland, CA) working on the development of genetically engineered yeast and plants
  • Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biology at California State University, Hayward

Research Interests

  • Pilot-scale production and characterization of recombinant human Lacritin protein in bacteria and yeast
  • Microbial production and analysis of synthetic polypeptides for use as human therapeutic agents
  • Development of novel chromatography resins for the purification of monoclonal antibodies
