Dr. Teel teaches in the Environment Sector. He also teaches extensively in the Geography program with expertise on East and Southern Africa as well as environmental Geography.

Ph.D., Agroforestry and International Agriculture, Cornell University, Ithaca, New York
B.Sc. Chemistry, Seattle Pacific University
Specializations:
Research on sustainability, agroforestry, nitrogen deposition and riparian restoration
Experience:
Spent 9 years in Sudan, Kenya and Mozambique with the Mennonite Central Committee, mostly doing agroforestry work; Taught at Eastern Mennonite University 2 years; Worked two years for Virginia Save Our Streams Program (Izaak Walton League)
