EcoCampus
The EcoCampus project began as a class project for GEOG 240 (Natural Resource Conservation). Nine students, mostly Geographic Science majors, worked as a team to implement changes to the upcoming dorms on James Madison University 's campus. We will use student research and analysis of currently available materials on the market to help create a more ecologically friendly dorm for future students.
OrangeBand
The OrangeBand Initiative, begun by ISAT graduate Kai Degner, promotes conversation about what matters. Over 8,500 people have OrangeBands and chapters are starting around the USA and beyond. OrangeBands serve as invitations to respectful conversation about issues that we feel are important to talk about Your OrangeBand is an issue, idea, concern, or topic you think is important to bring into conversation
