Research & Outreach
The Faculty of the ISAT Department bring in over $2 Million in grant and contract supported research funds. Most of this money has direct impact on the students majoring in our programs, since it allows them to see and participate in ongoing-research in our many fine laboratories and facilities.
Many ISAT students utilize this hands-on experience to give them a leg-up for employment or graduate school, and some have produced scholarly papers that merit presentation at undergraduate research conventions around the nation.
Business, government agencies and non-profit organizations can become affiliates of the department, serving in many ways to enrich the practical education of ISAT graduates through internships, sponsorship of student senior projects, guest lectures, site visits to production facilities, and best of all, meeting with our fine seniors on a timely basis for future hiring.
