National Summit on Geospatial Technologies in K-12 Education

The National Center for Rural STEM Education is delighted to host a National Summit on GIS in K-12 Education.  This two day meeting will provide an opportunity for teachers, curriculum developers, and researchers interested in spatial thinking and the use of GIS in K-12 classrooms.  The conference will include oral sessions, posters, and discussion sessions to help refine the national agenda for the use of these innovative technologies.

Travel scholarships of up to $500 to cover travel and lodging are available to up to 40 teachers from rural schools.  Please apply for these scholarships via the conference application form.

Session applications are now available and are due 18 April (the applications are simple and we'll make decisions and select sessions by the end of April).

The conference is subsidized by the Center and attendance includes all meals.  The conference fee is just $50.  Travel and lodging information will be available via the Travel link by mid-April.
