4th National Summit on Geospatial Technologies in K-14 Education

The National Center for Rural STEM Education hosted the 4th National Summit on GIS in K-14 Education at James Madison University in Harrisonburg on the 30th of June and the 1st of July, 2011.  This two- day meeting will provided a collaborative opportunity for teachers, curriculum developers, and researchers interested in spatial thinking and the use of GIS in K-14 classrooms.  The conference included oral sessions, hands-on sessions, posters, and discussion sessions to help refine the national agenda for the use of these innovative technologies.
