4th National Summit on Geospatial Technologies in K-14 Education
The National Center for Rural STEM Education is delighted to host the 4th National Summit on GIS in K-14 Education at James Madison University in Harrisonburg on the 30th of June and the 1st of July. This two day meeting will provide a collaborative opportunity for teachers, curriculum developers, and researchers interested in spatial thinking and the use of GIS in K-14 classrooms. The conference will include oral sessions, hands-on sessions, posters, and discussion sessions to help refine the national agenda for the use of these innovative technologies.
Conference Applications are now available. Session Applications and Preconference Workshop Applications are due by April 6. (The applications are simple and we'll make decisions and select sessions by late April).
The conference fee will be $90 (double) and $100 (single). Travel and lodging information will be available via the Travel link by 1 May.
This year, with the help of the Virginia Geographic Alliance, we will also be offering two instructional workshops that precede the conference.
